GREAT IDEA DEB!
I was thinking we need not only a what did you eat, but a what exercise did you do today post daily! *I guess I can try to committ to posting that each day!* ???
I have been on a journey
of self reflection, acceptance and looking for emotional/spiritual as well as physical wellness my main focus on EMOTIONAL EATING at 4 yrs out it is a concern (well it was at 1 and 2 and 3 yrs out but seems to be taking hold stronger now...)
So here are my goals:
#1)
Exercise daily; for me/my belief most days of the week are improtant and at least 60 minutes, keeps my body/mind in check and I feel good w/ it; when starting to work on the emotions over the past month this slacked off for the 1st time in 4 yrs! YIKES, but 1 wk I am back on track....
#2)
I am focusing on my
emotional eating, using these guidelines (as well as many other tools of journaling, meditation, deep breathing/relaxation
, reading up on this topic, guided imagry/hypnosis etc)......It takes many tools in the toolbox to be successful!
EATING GUIDELINES
(*To avoid emotional or unconscious eating)
1. Eat when you are hungry
2. Eat sitting down in a calm environment *NOT THE CAR!
3. Eat w/o distractions, including radio, TV, newspapers, books, magazines, intense anxiety producing conversations or music.
4. Eat only what your body wants.
5. Eat until satisfied.
6. Eat (with the intention of being) in full view of others.
7. Eat with enjoyment, gusto and pleasure.
