HIP Medicaid question

I have HIP medicaid. I am curious to know about other people's experience with it. Mainly: I'd like to know whether they require a 6 month med supervised diet, how long did it take for approval/denial after all paperwork was handed in, and do they pay for fills? (Ive called both HIP and Medicaid independantly and no one could give me answers.) Wednesday I have my initial appointment with my surgeon, Dr. James McGinty of St. Lukes Roosevelt. Im sure I will find some answers to my questions but I really want to hear from you guys and gals. Also I'd like to hear any experience anyone has had with Dr. McGinty. (Ive already read the ones posted on his review page) Thanx

SH, i am sorry that I can not help you with neither but wanted to wish you the very best!!! I know I had to do the 6 month weight loss program before we put the paperwork in to GHI and it was approved within 4 days but I am not sure wiht HIP, sorry hun! I also have hip medicaid. Yes 6 month supervised diet is needed approval take 72 hours after submitted.
