at the start of my journey

I just wanted to say hello as I am just starting on my road to WLS. There are 25 more weeks of Dr. supervised diet(only been on it for 1 week). I have met no one so far in my own area that is doing WLS at about the same pace that I am. Hoping to hear from Pre and post ops to be as ready for this as I can be. Hi Cassy and welcome! This is a great site, as I'm sure you have already noticed, lot's of great info. and people. I am still pre-op myself, but have finally done all that was required of me and was approved a couple of weeks ago. My surgery is this Tuesday. I am very nervous, but I have come to conclusion that this is necesary for my health. You are right, as you stated on ur profile, waiting does seem to feel like the worse part. Time flies and, God willing, you will be on the losing side soon. Feel free to drop by my page, I posted step by step evrything I had to go through to get to this point. I too am just starting out. I have completed all of the pre appointment paper work and tests required and will be sending it in when I get the final letter for the pysch eval. I know people near me that have had the surgery in the past. And I don't know anyone who is going to be having the surgery near me. I would love to find someone who lives nearby that I can talk to that will be going through the same things I am.

Hello Cassy... Congrats on the making the first step.... Although I did not have my surgery in Saranac w/ Dr. Hill, I live in Whitehall and there are at least three people in town that have had him as a surgeon and are doing GREAT.... Good luck on your journey! Hugs... Lori

Thanks every one for your replies. I found this site because my surgeon recomends this site for info. I have learned so much already from reading profiles and the boards. I wish everyone the best and can't wait to hear from ya again.
