10 days post! All is well so far.

Hi NY board! I had my RNY-OPEN surgery on 10/23/06 and I am happy with the way things are going so far. All is well and on this liquid diet I am losing weight like crazy! A year before surgery my highest weight ever was once 442. I was down to 420 at the time of meeting my surgeon in March of `06. The morning of sugery I was down to 351. Here it is 10 days later and I'm down to 336! I walk every day now and I can't believe the energy I have! I'm on a liquid diet of sugar free stuff and I have tons of energy! I hope all who want this surgery get it because it's worth it in my opinion. Doug

Doug, That's great news. Remember to pace yourself, even if you feel a lot of new energy. Your body needs rest as well as activity after this surgery. Delighted to hear your good news! Keep feeling great! Amy
