Very Concerned

Hi Karen, I also had the same concerns early on. I am 11 months out now. I have never vomited, but have had a couple of dumping issues. I was able to eat salad at 2 months out, no problem, but tried fish just 2 small bites and was like a vise grip on my pouch with rocks in it, could not eat another bite that night, and one other time was from 2 bites of a biscuit, only I didn't know if I was going to throw up or pass out or have diarreah, but all subsided within 15 minutes, just drank a bunch of sips of water and all was fine. Those are the only incidences that I have had. I also never felt full in the beginning, then all of a sudden I was able to feel it probably within the first 2 months maybe a little after that, I have never lost my hunger either like most do. Even right after surgery I was hungry. So basically everyone's body reacts differently to WLS. Just follow your NUT's instructions and you won't have to worry about taking in too much. HUGS back at ya, Shannon

Karen, Hun take a deep breath and smile... Like everyone said there is no NORM with this surgery, everybody is different. That is such good news that you are NOT getting sick at this point because at times it can get icky.. I know for me I did not have that hunger or full feeling until I was out about 8 months or so! Then it comes back with furry. If Dr Garber is not worried about it at this time then I would not worry, if he had any thoughts of a problem he would have had you in there for a scope! Give it time hun and watch it but please do not worry yourself with it, just stay on your new eating plan/way of life and it all should work out for you. Debra P

They say, "Be careful what you wish for". Truer words have never been spoken! Guess what????????? I just re-gifted my apple at work! I attempted an apple again and I took 2 or 3 bites and I felt a horrible pain...and also a feeling like I couldn't swallow...I realized I had not been chewing properly (I was not focused). My Boss looked at me and said, "are you alright?". She said I looked terrified. I ran to the bathroom and threw up 3 times...NOT FUN. ...and they say "be careful what you wish for... so based on today's experience I wish for the winning Lotto numbers! Hugs to all *****plied - my second family. -Karen
