Hi I can't help because I had bypass surgery but you might try posting on the Lap-Band Forum too. Good luck!!!

Just got my lap-band on Wednessday but reading through the info packet after the adjustment you should be on liquids again for a time. Basically you should be starting over just like you just had the band installed only the durrations are a bit shorter. But as suggested going to the lap-band fourn is probably your best best for information other than from you doctor. -j-

Didn't your surgeon advise you? Or the nutritionist. Surgeons have different requirements. I have had about 8 fills. Each time I get a fill, I am on full liquids for 24-48 hours. Then I do soft foods for about a day or 2. Good luck. Dee

Wow, who is your doctor and shame on him/her! Ok I was banded on 1/25/06 and have had several fills to date. There is in fact a spicific diet to be followed after any fills, here is what Dr Kwon has his Lap Band patients do: 1) 1St 48 hours shakes only 1 for each meal and water of course 2) The third day 2 shakes and a mushie/pureed meal 3) Finally back to your normal diet There you have it quite simple actually! Good Luck to you! Kenny

Hi, First ask your surgeon. My surgeon just has me take it easy after fills. Up until the last fill in which I hardly felt, I was on liquids until I felt ready to eat solids. One time it was 4 days after the fill. I guess I had a lot of swelling then. Kristine
