Hi all, Does anyone here use "Unjury" Protein? I was going to order it based on the reviews on the Nutrition forum but to be honest, I have bought a few that got good reviews and they were horrible. "Unjury" gets nothing but praise on the forum. Any feedback, please?? I need to order something ASAP because I am running low. Thanks and Hugs, -Karen

I get mine at Walmart.....the brand is six star and the chocolate is great...tastes just like chocolate milk and i use 8 oz of skimmed milk to mix it in. Yummy. And only 15.22 for a 2lb canister. Kel

FOR me it had a taste im not keen with. BUT so do all the powders. I find putting a piece of fresh banana in my powder shakes is the only way i can get them down. GOOD LUCK! AND try makeing them fancy with the sugar free syrups, bananas, peanut butter! FOR me its the only solution aside from one ready made brand i like alot. GOOD LUCK!

Hi Lisa, Thanks! I got 4 flavors of the DaVinci Sugarfree syrups at Sam's Club in Medford. They carry Vanilla, Caramel, Raspberry and Hazelnut for like $4 and change per bottle! Great deal. Thanks again, Karen

Hi Karen, I suggest ordering the sample sizes first. I too have spent way too much money on protein powders. Just the other night at my support group meeting, Unjury was mentioned yet again, so I think I'll order some samples myself. The only other tolerable protein drink for me has been the AchievOne individual bottles. They come in several different flavors, cappucino, hazelnut, mocha etc. They are not cheap. I have ordered them at bariatriceating.com however, I've recently been told that they are sometimes available at a health food store in Ronkonkoma, I have the name at home,( I am at work now). So email me if you want the exact name. Also, they taste similar to those Starbucks bottled drinks. (probably cost just as much if not more) But I do bring these to work with me, they are very convenient. So, buy the samples first. good luck Maryellen down approximately -50lbs since 7/31/06

Hi MaryEllen, Thanks for the info. Is the store this? The Diet Shop 600 Portion Rd Ronkonkoma, NY 11779 (631) 981-0882 I think ordering samples is a good idea. I, too, have a cloest full of 2 lb. containers of crappy tasting protein powders that are horrible! By the way...can I ask where there is a night support group? You mentioned you were at one the other night. Thanks again, Karen

Hi Karen, Yes, that is the one I was referred to. But I was told if you are going just for that to call ahead. Apparently they can't keep them on the shelves long enough for the demand. So try otherwise order from bariatriceating.com As far as the support groups, I belong to 4 different ones. I don't get to go to all 4 every month because of my horrific work, school etc schedule. But the one I went to this past Tuesday was Dr. Ahmad's private group just for his patients. The other three are open groups. One is at Good Samaritan Hospital, offered every other Saturday morning ( very good group many free samples given out and a nice turnout at each meeting, sorry that I will not be able to attend that one until December because I go to weekend college), another group is at someone's house in Selden offered on the third Tuesday evening of each month, (let me know if you are interested I can call her and tell her, unforntunately, I won't be there next Tuesday, due to a SMBA meeting I must attend, but I'll be there in NOvember. It is a very nice small group of women, very unstrucutred but informative and support is always great, you can never get enough of it!) And the other group I go to is Living After WLS Suffolk County It is offered at the Centereach library on the last Friday evening of each month, but this month it is at the Selden library, (if you are interested, let me know I can give you the contact person's information) Again, a nice group, definitley more structured, handouts are given and very informative. Hi Karen, Good suggestion posted about trying the samples first. I love the Unjury powder and was totally grossed out by all the others. But you'll hear that about any type of protein powder. It's really a personal taste thing I think. I use the unflavored and add 1/2 frozen banana, a small amt of frozen raspberries or strawberries and a package of splenda. Yum! I use low carb milk so it's a lot of protein and a small amt of healthy carbs. Here's the URL to order if you didn't have it already .Just scroll down to choose samples: https://www.unjury.com/ssl/purchasing.php Good luck! Amy
