I'm Back

Hey everybody. It's been a long timesince I have posted. I will be 4 months out of surgery tomorrow and down 84 lbs. I feel great and from what I hear from my friends and co-workers I look great too LOL. The reason for my hiatus was that I got divorced around the same time as my surgery. It really took a toll on me and i was kinda in limbo for a while. It is weird this is the happiest I have been in such a long time but at the same time it is the darkest time in my life as well. My saving grace is that I have shared custody of my kids and they keep me sane in an insane way. The best wow moment ever was this past weekend I played basketball with my son. I mean i actually played basket ball. Now the old me playing B-ball with my son was me standing in one place throwing the ball to the hoop and having my son run around chasing after the ball.Needless to say we would play for about 20 minutes before he was exhausted and the game was over . Now I am running around the court dribbling chasigafter my own missed balls and my son stops and says hey dad your running around your actually playig basket ball. I didn't even realize it until he mentioned it. I am getting teary eyed just remembering the moment. Well I just wanted to say hello to everyone. I promise to be more active and post more because I could really use the support system that this wonderful site and you wonderful people provide. Thanks again

Hey there. I actually just signed on to email you to see how things are going with you. I have not heard from you in a long time. You are doing PHENOMENAL with your weight loss pal..........keep it up. It sounds like your quality time with the kids has even more quality now, too, which must make you feel great. Glad to hear you are well. S

BK, Glad to see you posting and congrats on your weight loss.... that is just awesome and the fact of that great "WOW" moment as well. Times like that sure make it worth your while..... I am sorry to hear you had a hard time with the divorce but glad it all worked out with/or the kids... Debra P
