thank you so much! i started the clear liquid diet yesterday.. and omg.. i kept getting head hungers.. :( i had to take some tylenol. this is day 2.. have to go get labs done today... it still seems so unreal that tomorrow is the big day....

Welcome to the NV board, I have met a bunch of great girls on here. You will do awesome with your surgery tomorrow! Keep us posted on how you're doing.

Hi! Just wanted to introduce myself.. Name's Kimmy.. been a lurker for a long while now... Im scheduled for RNY on 7/6/10 with Dr. Hanna. It was supposed to be on 7/13/10, but got a call friday and was rescheduled to the 6th!!!! Im excited and nervous all at the same time. I never thought this day would ever come.. now that it's almost here... im just in shock i guess.

That sounds like alot of fun to me. I'm not into the doctors support groups. I like the independent support groups myself. I won't be bac****il August 1st but we definitely have to get together.

Topic: Upcomming Vegas Meet & Greet!!!

I didn't notice a posting about this so I wanted to do it now so anyone interested can RSVP and start making plans to attend! The Weight Loss Surgery Foundation Of America is sponsoring this and it will be MUCH bigger than this years event!!! The WLSFA is a non-profit that was recently formed to help those not fortunate enough to be able to afford WLS.

Also, we could use some suggestions from you Vegas locals as to things we might want to incorporate into the event (speakers, locations, WLS products). If any of you have contacts at some of the hotels that could get the WLSFA a BIG discount please let us know!!!

The Second Annual “Mother of All Meet & Greets"

Las Vegas Meet & Greet May 2011

Where: Las Vegas Nevada (Hotel to be determined)
When: May 13,14 and 15 2011
What: Details will be posted here as they are confirmed.
Cost: WLSFA Volunteers with 20 or more hours will have their ticket fee waved
The Fee will be kept as low as possible, we will post it here as soon as it has been decided.

In general there will be a Meet and Greet Room for meeting your fellow WLS peeps.
We will have a room for Key Note Speakers and Entertainment.
We will have a Vendor room where you can sample products .
There will be day time and evening events.

Let the WLSFA know if you can attend!

I am moving back to Reno after a two year stay in Texas. I can't wait to get back home August 1. I also had a DS and will be looking for a support group.

I prefer it to be with all kinds of people with all kinds of the different surgeries. We are all in this to lose weight even though we chose different tools to do it.

I would love to see a support group out there.

there are support groups through western bariatric which was where my surgery was done. Good people, I have only gone once since surgery because it seems I'm always work when they have the meetings.

Is that Barry Fisher? You come out alive but he skipped the bedside manner class. Made me cry and feel like a lab rat at one of the support groups. If I had to do it again would ask to be switched to another doctor.
