I understand that HPN only provides for $5000 of the cost. I was just wondering how much you were required to come out of pocket with at time of surgery. Thanks

Just starting on the path to researching if WLS is the right option for me. It's already been challenging. My insurance company sends me to the 3rd party payer. The third party payer sends me to the pre-approval for surgery. Their nurse calls me to tell me the requirements and then for the next step tells me to call the 3rd party payer to find out my in-network bariatric doctors. When I call, they tell me that they don't know, never had a request for this.
Kinda makes the head spin.

YES! I know I haven't been online in quite a while. What can I say other than I got lazy for the last couple months and haven't been doing any exercising... BUT I just had to jump online and share my WOW moment. Last week I got my butt in gear and got back on the treadmill and FINALLY was able to lose a couple more pounds and have now lost 100 POUNDS!! TALK ABOUT A WOW MOMENT!! It feels great.. now just 27lbs more to go to reach my goal.

Hello RebeccainReno, I had my rny bypass on May 26 in Reno. All went very well and recovery was good. I wish you well and just wanted to tell you ---it will all be worth it. Just stick to the food rules and soon you will be noticing big differences with a big smile on your face.
