Looking at joining a gym any thoughts???

I have been thinking about joining either 24 hr fitness or las vegas athletic club. Never have been a gym before. I have lapband last year. I have lost 75lbs so far but I am still very self conscious. Am trying to find a gym where I won't be judged or stared at. Has anyone had any experience with either gym on the north side of town?

I go to Las Vegas Athletic Club on Maryland and Karen. Love it everyone is nice to me, shows me how to you all the stuff there and answers all of my questions.  I even have a trainer once a month.  It is never to busy were you have to wait for the equipment.

On a side note...Iam going to have my surgery soon but was wondering how Desert Hospital was?  Did you have to pay up front or were you able to be billed?  I have Unted Health Care. Thanks again good luck finding a gym. Shana
