Coming to Reno for a conference

Dear Nevadans, I have a conference in Reno next week, and never having been there, thought I'd ask for some ideas.  I'll have mostly evenings free--and little transportation.  I'll be at the CIrcus Circus hotel.  I'm not a big gambler and, now, not a big eater!  Are there "don't miss this" spots or untouristy spots that I should try to hit?
