Aug'05 Surgiversary Board Members Visiting Vegas

hello Everyone!! The Aug Board is looking to celebrate our FIRST Anniversary together..we were looking at NY (where I live) but I think VEGA$ is really the place to be..cost wise and FUN wise.. I was wondering if anyone has suggestions on what Hotels are good and who to avoid..?I know the Boardwalk is gone and was thinking about the Sahara. Its on the Strip , 3 stars and $39 day. We all know the hotels are most expensive on weekends,,so does anyone know if NON-CASINO hotels are cheaper and what would you recommend? or would you recommend something like the RIO- which is totaly off strip- and is it a great place to do stuff? We are thinking of doing this in late August - possibly September, depending on schedules..and OF COURSE, if any other local OH members wanna join us- you are welcome to hit the road with us as well..
