Topic: RE: Totally OT question from an Ontario gal
All of these hotels are very nice and in the main core of downtown Halifax.  The one thing to think about is the walking.  I don't know how old your mom is, I apoligize if she's 60 and in better shape than I am..LOL), but the Haliburton is close to Citadel Hill and Spring Garden Rd., but has quite a hill to walk to Barrington St. and Lwr. Water St. and all four of these places are the tourist sites.  Hope that helps a bit.

Well thankyou Kat, you helped tremendously!!  That's what I was wondering and you answered my question.  I am looking forward to this revision the more and more I learn.  Glad you were okay and that you're still doing so well.

That's wonderful! Can you comment on how your surgery went and any challenges you have faced after the surgery?

Well, normally I am a person who doesn't get sick, don't catch what's going etc, BUT as luck would have it, one month after my surgery, I caught a terrible stomach flu!  Not once, but twice!  I was scared to death, but came through ok.  The vomiting didn't 'feel' different, and nothing blew-pretty good for only one month!!  I was quite sure the staples would let go, but nope, all was good.  No more pain than normal vomitting!  Hope this helps!

Unfortunately, I haven't stayed at any of those hotels.  I've never heard any complaints about Cambridge Suites.  The Prince George is nice and has a good reputation.
I have stayed at the Westin a few times and have absolutely no complaints there.  Rooms are nice, beds and pillows are lovely.

Those machines take time to get use to.  My husband has had one now for approx. 12 yrs. (can't remember exactly how long) and it has changed our lives.  He now gets a good nights sleep and isn't asleep at 6pm.  We take it everywhere as even for one night he feels awful without it.
I'll keep fingers and toes crossed that you soon get a letter for the info session.
