Here goes nothing!
MissCricket, dig into any info on Behavioural modification plans. As a part of the Weight Loss program (that clears you eventually for surgery), as I am sure you know, tells you that if you are an emotional eater you have to have a behavioural modification plan written and put into effect by the time you have your one on one with the team. Reasearching this and putting it into effect really helped me in keeping on track since seeing Dr Ellsmere in Feb. Doing what the program outlines and sticking with the program is why I lost the 131 pounds since feb 25th. Basically same amount of weight a person can lose with WLS eh? If I can do it YOU CAN TOO!!
Start taking pics... take them along your journey... all of them will help be reminders and modivation when in stalls and feeling you cant do it. you will have them... we all do. It's a lot of hard work reprogamming our brains and training ourself to be healthy... alot of bad habits to change and replace with good ones. YOU CAN DO IT Miss Cricket!!
The changes I have experience in the last 6 1/2 months are unreal. There was always that fear that once I lose my weight I would regain it back... I know it isn't going to happen this time... not with the work I have done... wiithin me. Something I never did when losing weight before. Sure I still struggle especially with the memories of how food use to "feel" and taste. but nothing tastes as good as being thin feels...nothing!!!
Work on you MissCricket.... get your head set on you...start changing those behaviours... that weight required will drop off you and then you get your sleeve to help you even further you will be rockin!!
