Surgery Completed and I'm feeling fine
I did pre-admission on March 31st and I had my breakfast which was Optifast. I saw the Anesthesiologist who took my blood pressure ask me a whole bunch of questions about what I am allergic to, I saw the nurses who asked basically the same questions, I took blood work, chest Xrays, ECG. My appt lasted 2/12 hrs but it was very easy.
Hi Cecile,
I have found Dr. Ellesmere to be a great surgeon. He's not one to waste time on idle chit chat but knows his stuff. He explains, gave me options and told me risks. He's a surgeon, used to seeing patients when they are under....lol...and not talking. He came in a couple of times to see how I was doing while recuperating and I actually go in to see him at the end of the month for a follow up appt. All in all, very pleased with him and hey, he's not hard on the eyes either....lol

So much time has passed and so much has happened in the past few months.
I'm now down to 235lbs...almost 100lbs less than when I started this journey. I've since moved out on my own and am enjoying that aspect of life. Still have issues getting enough protein, but find everthing else so much easier to do.
I moved into a 2nd story walk up...no elevator....thought that would be fun. Will be heading back in October for 6 month follow up with my group. Still trying to reach my goal of 200lbs by Christmas, but not putting too much pressure on myself - one day at a time.
Hope everyone is enjoying life and all the good things!
