VSG surgery finally booked

Well, it's been a long time since I've been here, wasn't sure I'd make it back.? Did the info session in Jul/09 and never heard anything till Jan/10.? Got a call to attend another session and was told that I "passed" the tests.? Have my pre-op on Thurs, Mar 11th and surgery on Mar 16th....

I hope to be here often to update everyone on my progress and day to day expectations.? I am on my week of liquids and find that I'm light headed...I'd like to blame it on the decaf coffee..

It's really hard to avoid the urge to chew on something, but I? know it will be so worth it in the end.

March 11/10 - had my pre-op appointment. Everything is looking good. Took about 2hrs to get bloodwork, EKG, talk with nurse over meds & stuff and the anetheseologist.

Only thing that can postpone surgery is if there isn't a room in the area where they need to monitor my oxygen levels as I use a CPAP machine....Since I sleep with it everynight, I decided to call it "Bob"...lol...    Keeping my fingers crossed that everything goes according to plan.

Saw Dr. Ellesmere and they gave me a surgery date that same day....so yours could be coming up really soon....good luck

aww i am so jealous i cant wait to get a call to get the ball rolling so to speak. good luck and let us know how you are doing.

how long after appointment with the big guy(LOL) was it after? i hopr everything goes great..im sure the first part will be hell but u will love it...and do super!

I am currently waiting to get a phone call for my first apoitment. how long does this take anyone know?.
