Hey All,

OK so we hear so many conflicting stories from people and etc that I thought i would go straight  to the source,YOU GUYS and GALS.

For us newbies or for us who just want to follow this journey together here we go .....

When did your family Physican Send In The Referal?

When was your 1st Call? What was it for (  Information Session, A Meeting With The Doctor or etc)?

When  were your next calls? And what for (type of appointment)?

Also I was informed by MSI that they don't do approval until after I see the surgery an dthen he submits the paperwork to see if I am approved. How did this work for all of you ??

My Doctor sent it when I had tried everything under the sun and thought it was time to go surgically. 2001

First letter was sent about a year after the referral. I saw Dr. MacDonald we decided which surgery to go with. Back then it was a choice of RNY or Band. I had called about 3 weeks later and he had written a letter to MSI and I was approved. This was in 2003

I didn't have to do the information session or psych evaluation.

January 08 received a letter from Dr. Klassen's office and I had an appointment in April/08 and had surgery June/08 Vertical Gastrecomy that is.
