Ok, to all you VSG'ers who have had surgery, time to "tell all". There is an excellent post regarding pain but mostly "bandsters" replied.  Us VSG'ers need to know about pain, exercise, restriction too!  Come on, please share all that you can to us newbies who have yet to recieve this wonderful tool. One thing I would like to know is: WHERE DID YOU SLEEP THE FIRST FEW DAYS, ON A RECLINER OR A TRADITIONAL BED!  I am going for my surgery withing a month or so (hopefully) so I really need all the dirt you can muster. PLEASE.  Sometime I am just too curious for my own good. hehehe

SPILL THE BEANS PLEASE!

Hi Sugarbear,

You might find that you will get more replies if you post your request on the VSG Board.  It seems that those people who had the surgery often gravitate to that particular board more and that seems to be their home.  Just a suggestion.

I dont know if you alredy had the vsg but I can say the first 2 days were uncomfortable (no real pain), I got up a few hours after surgery. The first few days you sleep on your back and then slowly I moved to my side (with lots of pillows) and now im almost on my stomach. I only worry about eating too much or reactions to food i havent tried yet. Up to know only lemonade and a popsicle (not sugar free, my husband made the mistake) have made me feel sick. Let me know if you have more specific questions, Ill be happy to answer if I can I am only 3 wks out.
