Post Op Check Ups?

Hi

Am new here and looking into getting WLS. I see that the only thing available here in NS and that is 100% by MSI (if you qualify) is the sleeve. I'm wondering how often you need to go back to thtor after the surgery for check ups and what not? I live in Cape Breton and a four hour drive to Halifax for a doctor visit is pretty expensive...especially if it will be required many times. Can anyone tell me what the post op check up schedule is like?

Once for a 4 week check up, then your local family doctor can do the others.. Blood work ect, ect..

Before surgery, I think there is one clinic and you first appointment prior to surgery! If I'm wrong someone chime in please!
