As I have mentioned earlier this weekend-
I am now an official OH Certified Support Group Leader - have taken all my classes and ta da !
I am putting together an online support group via OH and will send everyone invitations for this part of the site..... it doesnt take away from our NB/NS forum however I can post information there as I have access now to a huge library of hand outs on everything from self image to nutrition to how to figure out protein needed or supplements.
I am not a medical professional but can speak from experience and now after taking the courses have access to such a wealth of information to share with everyone.
The group is called : MARITIMERS UNITE FOR HEALTHY LIVES
So I will be diving into getting that all set up and running and hope that it will offer a lot of great information and support to us all. Again it is still on OH but under a different section.
So I have sent out invitations tonight to my friends list if you would like to be part of this group - add me to your friends list and mention you want to join the group- another great thing about OH groups is that you are able to post things there you might not feel necessarily comfortable posting for all of OH to see - it does provide more anonymity.
Just bare with me as I set this up - there is a lot too it and its learn as you go ...... I am away the first two weeks of March so this is a work in progress.
After the talk this weekend about Angels we definitely need to get this up and running and can have it posted on the group site - would anyone like to volunteer to take names and angels who want to volunteer.
A monthly post will include who is having surgery - date - type of surgery and who is their angel-
Again anyone can be an angel and we alll deserve to have angels during the difficult and trying time of the surgery process - so in the case of Maggie in NB her angel would have already talked to family and be able to update us on how she is doing.......
So please join and if you have any questions or suggestions please send them my way.
