Renae, welcome home!  I'm so glad you are feeling well and back, safe and sound, in ABQ.  Every day you will feel better and better.  Welcome to the bench, you're going to do great!

Hi folks!
Just to recap, Lovelace insurance requires a six month MD supervised diet. I completed a 4 month diet with SWENDO in 2007. Dr. Lara's office will use that to satisfy 3 months. I complete the other 3 months on October 10. The packet will then be sent to insurance for approval.  So, maybe a late November surgery date. I'll keep you all updated!

Thanks

Hi Carmelita!  Welcome to the NM site.  I know you'll get lots of help from the VSG site as well, but it's so nice to hear from another NM resident.  How fantastic you have had relief for so many ailments already and it will only get better.  The Dr. did the surgery, but you are to be commended for saving your own life by making the decision to have the surgery.  It can be a hard row to hoe sometimes, but the payoff of good health is worth everything you might go through.  Congrats!  Kelly
