Hey Cory,

Now that I'm thinner and almost at goal I would also like to do many things but nothing like what you have posted...  I feel wimpy compare to what you have listed.
1. Finish training my horse and not look like a sack of tators riding on him
2. Run in a 5 mile marathon
3. lots of hiking
4. Wear really cute clothes
5. compete in barrel racing
6. be a role model for my over weight family
7. live a long happy life (90+)
8. Be active and play with my grandkids (if and when I ever get any)
9. Be in a Hula Hoop Contest
10. win the lottery so I can have a tummy tuck
11. retire
12. Go on a honeymoon since I never got one
13. Teach aerobics
14. ------------   well there it goes, having 1/4 hymers that is all I could think of.

Cowgrl    that was fun

Yea Jules, glad to see you joined the OH forum..........  I love coming here for advice, support, and food ideas.  I gained a few lbs so now i'm getting back to the basic's and I already feel thinner.
I love what WLS has done for me.

Topic: New Mexico group small but hopefully growing
Hi Everyone,

I live in Abq., and looking for a revision to DS.  I had stomach stapling about 19 yrs ago.  Needless to say I gained the weight back and have kind of beat myself up about it until I started lurking around these boards and found out HEY!! I'm not alone.

I love New Mexico, just wish our health care was better.  I'll have to travel out of state for surgery and just  hope I can a PCP here that is behind me in this new venture.  I've lived here 20 yrs. but  my present pcp isn't keen on surgery.  She is skinny and hasn't a clue about obesity.

I would love to hear from more of you who are in NM and have had WLS, wanting WLS and if anybody meets as a group.  I'd love to start a group or join one!!!

Thanks,   Darlene

Cory, I haven't seen the movie yet but for a long time I thought about what I was missing and what I wanted to do once I lost weight.  I'm down about 110 pounds so some  things I've accomplished, some of them I'm still working on.  Give me a few days and I'll have my bucket list posted (you're going to work my brain!)  Thanks for the post!  I'm proud of you!!

Katherine

Hi all,
I was watching "Bucket List" this weekend; the one about those two old guys who make a list of the things they want to do before they die; and it got me thinking...

What are the things I want to do when I'm skinny?  So I came up with my own "Skinny List"...I've included my top 20 (in no particular order).  Post your own list if interested.

Thanks, Cory.

1) Sky Diving
2) SCUBA Diving
3) Rapelling
4) Push-ups (never been able to do one)
5) Pull-ups (chin-ups) (never done one of those either)
6) Climb a rope (yep, never done that either)
7) Wear a suit without being referred to as "Boss Hog"
8) Drive a small sportscar, like a Porsche, or Corvette, or Ferrari, or one of those SmartCars
9) Shop in a "normal" clothes store
10) Fly in a helicopter
11) Take pilot lessons
12) Ride a rollercoaster (all of them!)
13) Become a Police Officer (life-long dream)
14) Join the Military Reserves/Guard (another life-long dream)
15) Run a marathon (even a short one)
16) Run a mile in under 20-minutes
17) Take a commercial plane to a vacation-spot instead of driving (or paying double)
18) Sit in a chair with arms
19) Ride a horse again
20) Hiking
21) Mountain climbing

That's all for now...Thanks for letting me share.

Hello there I'm in the beginning stages of the process of getting WLS. I'm going to Flagstaff with Dr. Aldridge. He works with Dr. Berger the one who did Katherine's surgery. I don't have a date yet, but I'm getting all the necessary insurance stuff together. My insurance requires a 6 month dr supervised diet. I have United Healtcare.
