If you are intersted in checking out others, about half our group went to Del Sol/Las Palmas and the other half is from Dr Syn in Lubbock. His place if wonderful and I cannot say enough about them. Here's his website if you care to check it out.

I had so much trouble with Del Sol! I can't say it was completely their fault I kept getting denied, but they sure didn't help. Anyway, my new insurance takes effect Oct 1. I'm going to the info seminar for Sierra Providence Regional tomorrow at Embassy Suites. Please keep updating.

update so i was approved for my surgery but cant get a date due to the dietion not doing her job and getting cleared so might have to wait longer. soooooo upset with del sol. ireally feel she should have had this all done along time ago...i really wishing i didnt pick them!!!

Actually most of us have moved and created an alternate support group. Same days just starts at 6:30-8pm. Our next meeting will be on Wed the 16th. Here's the info...

Congratulations! I know what a journey this can be, and now for the emotional ride up until the actual surgery. You will do great. I have heard MANY great things about Del Sol.

Topic: My insurance company approved me.
I had so much good news this week. 1) Darlene from Dr. Lara's office called and told me that my insurance company reduced it's supervised diet period from 6 to 3 months. 2) Darlene called my 2 days later to tell me the insurance company approved my surgery.
Now to have all the labs done. I cant wait!

so i was told that my information will me summitted into the insurance on monday. my case mangar called and told me that is wasnt summited cause on monday they forgot to summit all my paper work. and on tuesday they didnt know what paper my case mangar was talking about. and today they sent her paper worker she already had. she said maybe tomorrow they well send her dr. lara request for surgery letter.
she said she has never had this much problem with del sol. and doesnt know what the is going on with them.
so most likly next week damn. its really taking longer then it should.

I am assigned to Dr. Acosta with Del Sol now, but I had my surgery with Dr, Frezza who was in Lubbock and they sat on my file for a solid 6 weeks before submitting to insurance!!!
Dr. Lara couldn't fill out that form until he saw all of your medical test results and felt you were healthy enough for surgery, I know it's hard, but try and be patient.
