Topic: Turning 30, minus the weight of the old me!
Hi all, I have not posted in so long, that I dont think that I recognize anyone and vise versa! I am about to turn 30 on the 4th, my one year anniversary of my surgery is the 3rd...I didnt want to start my last year of my twenties overweight and not going anywhere, you know?! I have found 3 grey hairs and have arthritis in my knees, but it could be worse! I am super happy with my choice to get the surgery done. I had it done in Va, not here however.
Well, I cant think of much else to say, just hi and I hope that everyone is doing well in thier journeys...

Debbie called me. She is still having some pain, and was doing really well until they took the JP tube out. Thats when it all started. She thought she was drinking enough but had gotten dehydrated, and got a bacterial infection.
She is home after some IV antibiotics and fluids.
Please keep her in prayer

Hello,
It was very nice to hear from you. Are your support meetings going to be held on the weekend? That would be the only time that I am able to attend because it is so far from Roswell. I wonder if we couldn't set something up on the internet, similar to a conference call on a landline. I sure wouldn't know about that since I am somewhat computer illiterate.

I'm a recent Post Op...and a few of us are trying to start a support group in Clovis.
Welcome to the boards, and good luck in your journey....the process to get it going can be overwhelming sometimes....but it will be so worth it in the long run.

I just recieved a phone call from Debbie B.'s mother. Debbie had her surgery August 16, and had the JP tube removed today. Tonight she is in extreme pain, and very ill. They are taking her to the emergency room.
Her mother asked us for prayers. If you pray, please pray for Debbie and the Doctors to find out what is causing her so much distress.
She has had a tough time already with her first surgery aborted.

Donna,
I had my surgery with Dr. Syn, he is in the same building as Dr. Hall. I also have 2 friends who had their surgeries with Dr. Frezza at Texas Tech.
Maybe they could take the info you already have without much trouble.
