There is also a surgeon in Scottsdale AZ. The Bariatric program has been removed so to speak. There are no programs in NM at this time. There are two surgeon that are talked about most now, and there are more if people would like to respond with what stat and who there surgeons are. There is Dr Frezza in Lubbock TX and Dr. Blackstone in Scottsdale AZ.

Hi ladies, I am moving to Albuquerque in the next two weeks myself. I have been speaking to Richard, whom you will see post on here (i think he is out of town this week) They have a support meeting twice a month (1st and 3rd Wed at 7) at the university hospital. I had my surgery on March 26th.
I think that most people are going to Lubbock for their surgeries. From what I can discover, people haven't been pleased with the surgical options in Albuquerque. Someone, please correct me if I am wrong!! I am anxious to attend a support meeting and find out who see locally.

I just moved back to Alb last week. ( i used to live here) I am in need of a doc too. so if you find one let me know. I had my surgery on 8/16 so we are pretty close.

I'll be moving to Albuquerque sometime this coming year and I had my surgery on August 4th...needless to say I'm a little nervous at leaving my Doctors here. Does anyone know of an internist with bariatric experience in the area? How about support groups? Thanks for the info.

Anyone have a problem with Lovelace Ins? They've denied me again and after the 1st of the year, it will not be a covered procedure!! Any advise, help is appreciated!! Thanks and God Bless.
