Hello all, I also have bc/bs of nm. i was denied for wls. I am appealing it. Both, my doctor and surgeon, and I are submitting letters. My phycoligist has already done so. I am worried that I will be denied again. could use some encouragement. Has someone out there been denied and then approved? Thanks. Maria

In an effort to ensure that all our members are well informed about our Magical Journey Conference May 20 - 22, 2005, ObesityHelp will be hosting a one hour question and answer chat session, Monday, May 9, 2005, 7 p.m. eastern standard time/ 4 p.m. pacific standard time.

Just touching base with all of our Alaska bound passengers. We are getting ready, are you? We are putting the schedule together and discussing the details with the cruise line. There is going to be so much to see, do and learn on this educational vacation.
This is the last week to book your trip - so don't miss the ship. It's not too late.

Dear Kim, Hello from New Mexico. I hope someone posted a reply to you. We have a beautiful state. Santa Fe is especially nice. Strange in a strange sort of way. The people seem real wholesome. Nothing like Texas where everyone dresses up and wears lbs. of makeup. The real estate there is VERY, VERY expensive and the cost of living is high. They get lots of snow in the winter and have a snow ski area right above the city. I live in Albuquerque, about an hour away, so can't help you with info about the schools. We have an active support group here in Albuquerque that meets 1st and 3rd Wednesdays 6:30-8pm. No bariatric surgeons in the area sadly. Everyone goes to Phoenix, Lubbock or El Paso TX. Hope this helps. Heidi

Miss Carolyn called me this morning and said to please telll EVERYONE how much she appreciated the prayers, love, and concern. She is taking the list of Docs that do WLS on elderly patients to her PCP and have him refer her to one! Thanks, gang, at the very least you gave one sweet, sweet lady hope and at the most, you helped save her life!!! Ya'll are the greatest!
