Congratulations Darlene!!! I had my surgery in Victoria, Texas on 3/1/05-fought with insurance for over a year, so I understand the struggle and the waiting. It won't be long for you now-it's just around the corner and you'll soon be on the losing side! If you are interested, there is a yahoo group that supports pre-ops, post-ops etc that is based in Albuquerque and many of the members have had their surgeries done by Dr. Frezza and are real wealths of information and encouragement. You just go to the link below, and request to join-it's a short process. We also have meetings 2x a month-I know Clovis is a ways away from Albuquerque, but if you're ever going to be in town and can attend a meeting, they are very helpful. Now I will try to put the link here for you to get to the yahoo group-I'm computer challenged!

I was told the same thing, but all I really had to give the doctor's, was a letter from my mother talking about the problems I had in high school, and proof from medical records that I was really big for a long time. They sent me right through. I was approved three days ago.

I posted back in November that I was starting the process . . little was I prepared for it to take half a year. They apporved it though. Tricare will pay 100% of it. It's going to be done on June 20th by Dr. Frezza!!!!!!!!
