Hi Erin, I have lived in NM for much of my life....every time I leave something draws me back. I live in Farmington, NM which is much smaller than Albuquerque but still boasts 2 Walmarts and most anything else you could ask for. The county seat is Aztec which is 7 miles away and situated in a very nice little community. We are in the NW corner of NM if you want to look at a map. I have Pres Salud and they referred me to Dr. Eldo Frezza in Lubbock, TX. I have a consult date for Aug 10, 2005 and will keep you posted. He is on the surgeons listed on this site. If you still need help let me know and I'll look up the addy. Good luck, Renee

Hi all, I've been so touched by others entries on this message board I hope that I can touch someone else. I am 51, a single mother to an 18 year old (graduating today) and a 4 year old, she'll be 5 next week while I'm in the hospital. So we are celebrating graduation today, the birtday tomorrow, and off to Scottsdale AZ to the Barix Clinics on Sunday and my surgery is scheduled for 7:30 Monday morning!!! I'm really doing it!! I too am so excited and kind of scared. But I know its the right thing to do. Next year I'm going to have one child starting college and the other starting kindergarten!! I really need to be here for them... I really need to do this for myself, my health, and I believe my sanity. I've been overweight most of my life and dieted for the last 35 years!! well Dieting has gotten me to 252 lbs!!! I'm only 5'0" so thats a lot of weight for this little frame to hold and I ache. My legs hurt, my ankles hurt, and I hate all the clothes that I have. I think I'm going to burn them!! Just wanted you all to know that I'm looking forward to start losing, and be able to KEEP it OFF. Thanks for listening to me... Theresa
