Topic: Looking for fill doctor in ABQ area.

Hello, I had lap band done in 9/05 here in No. Colorado. I am anticipating a move back to Albuquerque (I grew up in Santa Fe and lived in Abq for 7-8 years as well). The move may come sooner rather than later as I am forced to look for new work due to the gov't not renewing my contract. Are there any doctors/practices in the area doing fills and/or follow-up for patients who have had their procedures done elsewhere? Thanks in advance for any assistance. -solman

Sally- We have have a grass roots support group here in town (ABQ) the 1st and 3rd Wed of the month. Let me know if you would like more information. Also, I don't know about the MD on the west side but Dr Jay Jacobi of Southwest Medical (I-25 & Osuna) has a bunch of us wls folks - he is great! Valerie

Topic: I am finally able to get my consult!!!!

Tomorrow begins my first day of Coverage by San Juan IPA...

this insurance company so far has been awesome. They even told me to go ahead and schedule my consult even though I am not technically covered untill tomorrow. SO.... 8-15-2006 is my consult appointment with the Scottsdale Bariatric Institute.

HURRAY!!! Three years in the making, but I am going to get there!!!!!

I am excited... every thing I've heard about this office has been good.... God Please let everything continue to go smooth.

Thank you for the replies. I did try to see about going out of state, but they will not cover it. I will find another route, maybe it just wasn't time yet. Take care
