Hey! I am not from NM, nor do I plan on moving there. BUT...I do have a friend who moved there in Dec. 06. He lives in Rio Rancho, NM. I miss him so bad. I med him in May 06 and he's been one of my best friends ever since. He relocated there to find a better job and because of a tricky breakup between him and his ex-girlfriend. She hadn't seen him in 7 months, called him and told him he had a son on the way and come to find out after he moved her in, bought EVERYTHING for the baby, the baby wasn't his. He still wanted to take care of her and the baby, but she left once she found out it wasn't his. So, he left with his heart broke. Poor guy. Anyway...just wanted to chime in to say hello.

Hello, sorry I did not respond quicker, thanks for writing! I had my 3 month post op this last week. I am at 46 pound lost. Congradulations on your loss that is so wonderful.How do you feel? Two things I am very worried about first hair loss which has started. My hair is thinning and I an scared! Did you experience this at all? What did you do? Also I am very worried about excess skin. Did you have a lot or did it tighten with exercise? well thanks again nice to know there are people in Las Cruces, Kelly

I don't know any gastro but my PCP sees quite a few RNY patients and does pretty good at teh follow up stuff as we have no WLS surgeons in town or state. His name is Jay Jacobi, MD and he is withthe Southwest Medical Group at I25 & Osuna/San Mateo area. Do you know about our local support group? Let me know if you need more information. For newbies and not so newbies, I just wanted to let you know that there is a forum on Obesity Help called the Black American Forum (BAF). If you are not familiar with it, please feel free to stop by to post comments, questions or concerns.
Want to know how to get there:
Click on "Forums" at the top of the page and you will see a drop-down menu
Click on "Show All Forums" and you will see several boxes with forum names in them
On the left side in the bottom box, click on "Black American"
And then you will be at BAF
Come by and post a comment. We would love to see you there.

I have lost 130 lbs so far and i'm pretty excited about it, but now that it is starting to slow down, I'm just hoping that I reach goal. Please free to email me at any time.
