Hi leti, Sorry that i have not emailed. I have been traveling. Just got back yesterday from Dallas.
Well any way my insurrance approved me. I had my appt with nutrionist and psy yesterday afternoon. Also had a H pylori test done. All i have to wait for is to see Dr Applebaum and they will schedule a date for surgery. The nurse said they are shooting for mid August. I see that everything is going good for you that is great. It is so exciting. I cannot believe how fast this is going. I am getting ready to go on another trip this time to Reno nevada. Work is taking me and husband there. Well keep chin up and I am happy for you girl...........Cindy

i had my appointment with dr. acosta at del sol on the 19 of july. and he said everything was great, i don't have to see a nutritionist or anything. my medicaid approves after first submission. so all i have to do is the psyc (sp?) evaluation and all the pre op stuff EKG and whatnot. so as soon as i get that stuff done. he will schedule my appointment!! im pretty excited. so i'll let ya know when i get a surgery date!

I just found out my insurance is BCBS of NM Does anyone have any experience with them??? Any info on Criteria or acceptance would be a great help thx!! Chriss

Hello, I am just starting looking into the lapband procedure. Does anyone know if episd insurance covers this procedure or do they give you a hard time?

please check, because I may be wrong, but I thought soomeone at the U was doing bariatrics (RNY). also Pres was looking at bringing a bariatric surgeon on-not sure if it went through or not
