Hi all does anyone know if there is a cost diffrence between to two surgical groups in El Paso for lapband? My 18 year old daughter has a BMI of 42 and is scared of surgery but interested in the lapband to assist her with gettiing her weight under control.

My name is Rachael, I am going to the del sol seminar in oct as well on the 6th.
I am not sure about lovelace health plan, because I am covered by salud.
Have you called Del Sol and spoke to them about it?
The staff at Del Sol told me what was required. Good luck

Hi Cindy,
I am happy to hear that your surgery went well. I too am having the surgery with Dr. Applebaum as my surgeon. I have my appt with him Oct 12. I have been cleared by my cardiologist, NUT and 2 PSYCHs. I have done the seminar. Unless anything else comes up. I am good to go.

CINDY THE PAIN IS PROBABLY FROM THE CO2 (GAS) THEY USED TO EXPAND YOUR BELLY WHILE PUTTTING YOUR BAND IN LAPERSCOPICLY, THAT WAS MY BIG PROBLEM THE GAS PAINS WERE HORRIBLE. I HAVE BEEN DOING PUREED, SOFT TYPE FOOD FOR ABOUT A WEEK. I WAS DOING CREAM SOUP AND SOFT FOOD AFTER WEEKS 2, I CAN ONLY EAT 1X A DAY, HAVE TO DO PROTEIN SHAKES FOR 2 MEALS A DAY FOR 6 MONTHS, BUT ACTUALLY I NEVER FEEL HUNGRY, I DO START FEELING LIKE MY BLOOD SUGAR IS DOWN IF I DON'T DO SOME THING BY 2:30 PM, SUSIE
