Surgeons in NM

Ok, I knew Dr.Fry was not here anymore, but then someone who had their surgery told me that Dr. Terry was doing it, but Dr. Terry is not doing it either. So I checked on the message boards, found our about Dr. Igwe in Las Vegas NM, but I called and they do not know his whereabouts. I am waiting to see if I am qualified for the county indigent care, it looks promising. I appreciate any input, thanks)

There are NO surgeons in NM at the present time that do bariatric surgery. I know of 2 surgeons in Lubbock Texas Dr. David Syn and Dr. Eldo Frezza Both have great reputations...I'm sure that you can find patients of both these fine doctors here at OH that would be glad to talk about the doctors and their individual protocols. I had my surgery by Dr. Syn August 9, 2004 and I'm doing great. I had researched my options and had met Dr. Daniel Igwe. I was actually on his waiting list at that time,,,,and so far I'm still on his list and have not heard anything since then. He was setting up a waiting list while pending approval from his hospital to perform bariatric surgery. He told me that he studied in California with Dr. Fobi. Good Luck to you, Beckey

Hi! The last surgeon here retired last year. I was reffered to Dr. Lara in El Paso at Del Sol Bariatric Center..Great Dr. great staff, you should see if you can get in touch with them.

i'm having my surgery in 5 days with Dr Jorje Acosta at Del Sol hospital.I promise i will give you all the scoop. the staff at the Bariatric center is very supportive and knowledgeable ( the nurse is a WLS patient) Dr Acosta is very nice he's soft spoken and intelligent

ok here's the scoop: Dr Acosta is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the hospital was good, very obesity sensitive, there was a big recliner in my room. i highlyrecommend them
