IS THERE HELP OUT THERE?

I am very serious about purseuing bariatric surgery for my severe obesity. The problem I have is that my insurance does not cover the proceedure... As of last January, they stoped coverage for the proceedure. What I want to know is if there are other options out there... places that will help me. I have been trying for a little over a year to get this in motion and at every new oppurtunity I find a brick wall. Is there Help out there????

your PCP cold be a big help if she/he is in favor of surgery he may be able to steer you in the right direction

I was not able to find any help out there. I was in the same situation and ended up borrowing from my 401K and paid cash. I came to this conclusion as I figured I won't be alive to enjoy my retirement if I didn't have the surgery and gain some control over my life. I even sent letters to Oprah and Dr Phil but they get about 200 letters like that a day. I would love to figure out a way to start a foundation for these situations but not usre if it would get the support it would require to get it off the ground. Best Wishes.
