G-Tub necessary for Dr. Freeza Patients????

Hello, I am going to have surgery on Oct.10th with Dr. Freeza in Lubbock, TX my question is do all patients need a G-tub and what is it, I have heard some horrible things about it and am concerned for my 5hr drive home. Thank you, -Julie
