I can go back to work!!

Today I got to discontinue the wound vac after 4 months.....and I am cleared to return to work Monday! I am so excited. I am feeling so much better...and still off so many medications. Even with all the complications, this was sooooooo Worth IT! I want to thank all of you who have continued to keep me in your thoughts and prayers and offerred words of encouragement. You are all GREAT! I still have an open wound, and have to deal with some skin that has been damanged from the vac (actually from the mis-application of the vac while my surgeon was on vacation...but that is another story, and a minor bump in the road of my journey.) I have officially lost 71 pounds since Aug 9 and feeling great. I cleaned out my closet and have nuthin' to wear....having gone from a 24 to a 16. Thanks Everyone! Thanks Richard... So, How are YOU? and that new baby girl of yours? I bet she is growin' like a weed. I still hope to make some of the Albuquerque support group meetings...My Mom and sisters live in ABQ and I try to come visit often. I'm doing okay....the wound hurts more than I expected with the VAC off, but it is no longer draining and is very small. The SKIN was totally 'vacummed off' around the wound and is very sensitive...but this too shall pass. I'm restricted to NO LIFTING, pushing or pulling...and I can see why now, just after vac******* my house.....(Thats what I get for thinking I'm all healed..) Have a great day!! Beckey
