Wound vac?

Has anyone had any experience with a wound vac? I had a CT scan Tuesday, as I'm not doing so good after my second surgery on Aug 28. It was emergency surgery to remove infection, and repair where my abdominal muscles had separated from the abdominal wall. Well, anyway, I've been packing and unpacking this dressing since then, but its just getting more and more painful each day, instead of better like I was told. Sometimes I walk and move like the first day home. The Doctor just called and is looking for a way for me to get this wound vac. He believes that there may not be a place where I live, so I will have to travel 3 or 4 times a week to his office. It's 110 miles away. I told him I didn't care as long as we got things going in the right direction. I will appreciate any information you may have on this, as well as prayers...my anxiety level is almost at the top.
