Hi,
Just wanted to let everyone know that Dr Brenda Wolfe will be the guest speaker at the meeting August 4th. For those of you that don't know her here is some background information:

In addition to her private practice, Dr. Wolfe is involved in research collaborations at the University of New Mexico and consults to business enterprises developing psychologically based services. She is co-chair of AED's Bariatric Surgery SIG and has, in the past, served in various Officer positions, including Chair, for AABT's Obesity and Eating Disorders SIG, as well as Public Education Coordinator of the New Mexico Psychological Association. Her books and articles have appeared in both the professional and popular press.
Please mark your calendars with this important date. Hope to see you all at the meeting that is held in the cafeteria on the 2nd floor at University of New Mexico Hospital. Jan
PS Richard since you are a regular reader of this board would you mind posting this again around the first of August so that everyone will be reminded.
:0) lol Richard you are bad! Well, wish I could say I'm some "normal" size, but I really do have this huge frame so I'm wearing a size 24. I've been soooo stuck at one weight that I (I hate to admit this) joined Weigh****chers and journaling what I eat. I seem to stay between 900 - 1200 calories (which is not enough for my current weight - but we do have this capacity limitation).
I have finally decided I'm not going to like exercise at any weight so I just need to do it (I dont enjoy making my bed either but I do that every day). Dorothy B told me about the Manzano Mesa Multigenerational which is by Cosco near Eubank and Central. You pay $12.50 A YEAR and they have a great exercise room. They ask for a $.50 donation each time you use the room.... geeesh anyone can afford that - and it prevents me from the trauma of going to "good body" Defined Fitness. I know there must be overweight people that go to Defined Fitness, but my eyes dont see them - I just see the great bod's. Hmm.... dont know what all of this has to do with Dr Wolfe coming to our support meeting.... except to show maybe I need to climb on the couch! Jan roflmao
