Anyone from East NM? Are there support meetings around East NM or West Texas?

Sorry I can't help you, but the only meetings I know of are in Albuquerque, at the UNM hospital. Maybe someone else could help, sorry!

Hi Debbie~ If you want to travel to Amarillo, The is a WSL Support Group that meets at the downtown library 2nd floor boardroom (4th & Buchanan) from 1pm -3pm on the 3rd Saturday of every month. Hi Debbie,, I am in Clovis, and researching, and going thru all the steps for surgery. I know another person in Clovis who is having surgery in August. Maybe we can start our own support group. I travelled to Albuquerque Wednesday for the support group meeting at UNM with Dr. Igwe as the guest speaker. It was a good meeting and I meet some wonderful people, all in various stages of their journey. Dr. Igwe has contacted me on the phone, and I am on his "list" He is not currently performing WLS but plans to in the very near future. So we WAIT........... It is good to have this forum, and meet others doing the same thing....we are all going through this together, and can help each other along the way. God Bless Beckey
