GOT MY LAST DENIAL LETTER

I GOT THE LETTER FROM THE NEW MEXICO INSURANCE BOARD STATEING THAT YES THE SURGURY IS A MEDIALLY NECESSARY TO TREAT MORBID OBESITY, WHICH IS NOT DISPUTED BY MY HEALTH CARE INSURER, BUT IS NOT A COVERED UNDER ANY CIR****TANCES ON THE PLAN I HAVE NOW, BUT THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT THIS PLAN RUNS OUT IN JULY & MY AGENT IS LOOKING & HAS FIND 2 PLANS THAT WELL PAY FOR WLS. SO I HAVE NOT GIVEN UP. COLLEEN

Hi Colleen! Giving up is not an option! We pre-op's gotta stick together I don't even have insurance to battle with over whether they will pay for it or not but I've not given up yet...hmmmm...wonder if extreme makeover would consider doing WLS for a show? Hang in there , Colleen!!! My hubby's BC/BS insurance won't cover the surgery for me either. I do have Medicare because of disabilities ( which I hope to overcome most IF I get to have this surgery) and it does cover medically necessary surgeries. I just pray they will take care of this because I can't stand being like this anymore........I don't know how much longer I can take with my bad knees,high b/p, etc........Anyway, GOOD LUCK on getting new insurance that will cover this. I am like you..I am not giving up... Donna to all the insurance companies & companies that don't or won't cover WLS!!!!
