Good Evening NM....
Hello and hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday. I braved the shoppers and went out and about to the sales. I must have been insane , oh well I had to really muster up some will power to not buy new clothes until I have my surgery, everything was on sale. I did a double take and got the heck out of there., ,I refuse to buy any and clothes till I see if I am approved for my WLS surgery. All my thoughts are on January 27,2004 when I go to Arizona for my first appt. ,,I am so excited.
Hello back to you, I went to the sales as well, not a good idea, my hubby "needed" some new sunglasses...$140.00, what the heck was I thinking bringing him with me!
I know what you mean about clothes shopping until you loose weight, I dont buy new clothes yet, I am down 71 pounds, but I dont buy new stuff, I get things from friends, or from the thrift store.
Good luck with your first appt next month! Misty
It feels like such a waste to by clothes when you are expecting not to need them soon. I haven't bought any since I started trying to get this surgery 11/02. Everything is getting pretty ratty. It's a good thing I finally got a surgery date, 1/6/04 , before I became a total embarassment.
Good luck with your appt. in Arizona. I hope you get your surgery date.

Martina, I'm going to Bowling Green, OH for surgery. My surgeon is Dr. Oakley. I'm having DS surgery which isn't done in NM. Since I had to go out of state anyway I figured I might as well go to the best. His partner Dr. Hess pioneered this particular version of WLS.
Meanwhile I am going crazy trying to get everything organized at work for a repacement while I am gone for a month. Ever try to train someone to do your job in 2 days?
