BCBS PPO of New Mexico

Hello I am about to be insured through BCBS PPO of NM, and I was looking through the booklet, and it said that weight loss surgery was not covered. I have been tested, and I have diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis and a couple of other things, my doctor was trying to get me approved when I was on medicaid, but due to unforeseen cir****tances, did not happen. Is this just something that all insureres say? Anyone who is covered by them, please let me know, thanks.
