Hotels in El Paso?
Hi there,
I'm trying to be pro-active and have everything taken care of for my surgery in 2 weeks.
Those of you that went to El Paso, do you have a decent hotel to recommend? I would like to stay below $100 if possible. I did find some on hotels.com but I thought I might check & see if anyone can share where they stayed?
Thanks so much!
Renae

Renae,
Sorry, I can't help you out with the hotel information (I had my surgery in Flagstaff), but I wanted to remind you of the meet and greet this Saturday at 7:30. Sure hope you can make it! You'll be able to meet lots of people who can offer all kinds of support as you start your journey.

Hi sweetie! Im so excited for you!!
Im originally from El Paso and we go back every 2-3 months to visit our family and friends and we usually stay at the Embassy or at the Raddison. Both are pretty nice, but are over $100. This last time we went 2 weeks ago we decided to stay at the Comfort Inn because Del Sol patients get a discount and only pay $50 per night. The hotel room itself was ok, and had some remodeling done, but the bathroom was disqusting! I wouldnt call myself a clean freak, but I am a really clean person and that bathroom was horrible. My parents and I were talking about it, and we were like... "I couldnt imagine coming here after I had my surgery because it wasnt that nice." But for the price it was great... They also had a pretty good breakfast that we couldnt eat of course..lol. But my husband and my baby liked it.
Ooo and when we were released from the hospital they wanted us to stay in town over night to be on the safe side, so my mom got us a room at the Wyndham(used to be hilton) by the airport, and it was great! It was a two room suite and it was two really comfortable chairs to sit in a a pull out sofa. I couldnt lay down and my dad couldnt either so we slept in those chairs and it was great! I think she got the room for $117 a night.

Hi Renae,
glad you found a place, we stayed at a really nice hotel with the hardest beds ever!! The staff was so nice about it, they had just put in the new beds...the hospital bed at Las Palmas was softer! LOL : ) But, I did want to tell you good luck with your surgery, take a good pair of slippers, soft PJ's you can wear around your hips and cover your stomach. I could'nt stand anything over my incisions, except a loose soft PJ top. Even now I'm (don't laugh) wearing hip huggers or even maternity pants and long loose tops because my incisions look good It just feels better right now. And walk walk walk! I'm feeling better everyday so lots and lots of well wishes to you. : )
