Hi everyone! Had my surgery on the 4th and got back home late on the 5th! I know ten days have gone by since I did an update. "My Bad" kinda bugs me to sit upright at the desk and I keep thinking I'm going to open up my stitches, not so much now but when I first got home. I'm on the liquid diet right now and I knew it was coming so It's no surprize. I really haven't been hungry as much as I've been tired. On Monday the 8th I started a very slow pace on my treadmill, the days before that I just walked from the front door to the back. The last time I walked in my neighborhood I took my little dog, and two dogs over a couple of blocks as we walked by my dogs on a leash, their dogs not, they attacked my little Bella and so that's why I'm choosing to walk slowly on the treadmill.
I feel good and I'm healing well, I can now get out of bed pretty good. I can't wait for the tiredness to go away, and getting all the water in has been a challenge. I think I have tried every "cream of" soup on the market. Just wanted to say "Hey" to everyone and wish you all well!

Hi Debbie Ann, glad to hear you're feeling good.  It takes a while for your body to feel "normal" again, so give yourself some rest and take it easy for a bit.  It's great you're walking, it helps with so many ailments.  I remember not being able to roll over in bed, as it felt like my guts were falling around inside and it hurt to move.  But trust me, it all gets better and better and better.  Kelly

Congrats, DebbieAnn!!!  And welcome to the bench!  Sounds like you have things under control and you are on the right path.  Don't ya' just luv those cream soups!?!  Honestly, after about a week of those things I started mixing my own concoctions in the blender and I didn't have a problem one.   As for your energy level, it will come back before you know it.  I had the vertical sleeve surgery on 05-29-08 and my surgeon told me that it takes a good 2-3 months before you feel really great.  I think I was right at two months when I started feeling like I was almost back to 100%.  Take it easy and keep sipping, sipping, sipping!!!

Congrats again!

Katherine

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

Failure is only a fact when you give up. Everyone gets knocked down, the question is: Will you get back up?
