I am trying to find a surgeon to do my Lapband surgery. Does anyone have Presbyterian Insurance.  I have had difficulty finding a surgeon that accepts them. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I don't have Pres insurance just Lovelace.  Del Sol in El Paso should be able to let you know if they accept that insurance.........  they are wonderful..

If you don't mind me asking, how much did your surgery cost?

I am having RNY next week with Dr Syn in Lubbock TX. From what I understand, Presbyterian doesn't have surgeons they work with in NM. From all I can tell Dr Syn seems to be the very best. Of course he just does the RNY, which is fine for me, because I have a HUGE BMI.
I have Pres insurance as well. They are covering everything, and very helpful. Approval was QUICK too.

Superman, I don't have Presbyterian, sorry... Blue Cross Blue Shield for me.  If you are interested in going to the Flagstaff area there are a couple of WONDERFUL surgeons there and they may accept Pres.  Dr. Robert Burger in Flagstaff did my vertical sleeve 05-29-08 and I am doing great!  He has an amazing assistant (Nancy Scott) in his office who will jump through hoops to help you with your insurance and all your travel needs.  Just a thought, but if Flagstaff interest you at all then you might want to give Nancy a call.  Good luck and keep us informed.  By the way, I see your are from my ol' neck of the woods (I'm a Farmington gal, now living in ABQ).  I'm heading that direction in a day or two so make sure it's not too hot, okay!  ;)
