Santa Fe Support Group

Hi,   I'm 5 weeks out and am looking for a support group in or near Santa Fe, NM. I work in the medical field and know there are a lot of us post WLS here in Santa Fe. If there isn't a support group I would be interested in starting one, but can't seem to find the support groups on this site. Denise DeLeon

Hi Denise! Im Amber. Im hoping to be approved within the next month or so. My dad should be approved within the next week or two and my mom just had her Lap Rny last wee****il now I didnt know there were anyone else that had the surgery either. Where did you have yours at? We are all going to Del Sol. I hope you are recovering well and everything is great!

Hi Denise... Hi Amber... I too am new here.  I'm tentatively scheduled for DS in July. I don't know of any support group in Santa Fe, but would be willing to help out in starting one.  I know of at least one other person who is interested as well. I'm willing to offer up my office as a meeting place if we do it after 5pm and if we have less than 6 people.  If we get more than 6, I have some other ideas of places to meet.

Hi Pam , my name is Tony. I noticed you're having your DS with Dr. K. I'm coming up on being two years out with my DS ( June 14th, I think ). Anyway, there is a great support group in Albq that meets the first and third Wed. of everey month. I live in Albq but work in Santa Fe. Hi Amber, Hope things are going well, has your Dad had his surgery yet. How is your Mom doing? Any word yet on yours? I'm going to post flyers out and about in Santa Fe area doctor's offices. I work with many docs here and some are already having their patients call me. Which is fine by me. I went to Lubbock at Covenant Hospital with Dr. Syn. I really like Dr. Syn, he is really good.
