DR Liza Maria Pompa Gonzalez
dr. pompa performed by gastric sleeve surgery 4 weeks ago. i didnt get the lap band but my sugery was more difficult than the lap band. dr. pompa was great and so was the clinic. if you have any questions you can ask me at [email protected]. you can even call me and ill tell you anything youd like to know.
I wouldn't go to her. Not because of skill issues but because she's with Betancourt Medical. The patient coordinator pushing her right now claims she is a Mayo doctor. Patti, the coordinator, told a friend of mine that she did her residency at Mayo. This is not true, she was an unpaid visiting physician for a month at Mayo, that is not the same thing.
Dr. Pompa was just Inamed certified in December, nowhere near long enough to get experienced. I know she did one band and it took her three hours to place. That procedure should take about 30 minutes. There was no hernia involved, just placing the band. That is concerning to me.
I would do a search for the following terms here on OH and on www.lapbandtalk.com:
Betancourt
Huacuz (used to work for Betancourt)
Molding Clinic (used to be where Betancourt worked)
You'll find a wealth of information there.
Be very careful, don't believe what coordinators tell you, they lie all the time.
I LOVED HER! She was awesome and I would go back to her in a heart beat. What great care and what an excellent job she did for me. I was sleeved this past Monday the 24th, and I'm home and very pleased with my experience. Already down 11 lbs. I feel great. Personally think she & Patti helped to make my experience very pleasant. Will be referring a close friend of mine to her.

Be very careful, don't believe what coordinators tell you, they lie all the time. Well, obviously Wasa and I have a great deal in common since it is COMMON knowledge we are one in the same. My ID on LBT is Wasa and my ID here is MWG. Any idiot knows that. Considering my profile is absolutely identical to Wasa... it's not hard to figure out. Surely even YOU could figure out the same??
It is also common knowledge that Pompa's sleeves are big enough to feed a heifer. I suppose you did not know that either?
Dumbass.
