Insurance help!!

Hello everyone. I live in Las Cruces, and after much thought have decided to begin the process of  approval for WLS. I have Presbyterian HMO- does anyone have experience with this insurance? Was the approval process really tought?  I have heard they only cover a doctor in Lubbock, TX!  That seems crazy. El Paso is less than an hour from here and they do approve people with Presybyterian Salud in El Paso. Thank you.

well i have lovelace salud and the closest place that took them is el paso. i thought lubbock only took molina salud? hmmm. go figure.

HI Rhonda, I also live in Las Cruces and they insurance i have is having me go to Tucson Az. for surgery instead of El Paso.  My problem is i work for a CHS owned hospital and you have to use thier facilities or they will not cover the procedure.   I would call the surgeons in El Paso and most of them know what insurances they can get to cover procedures through them.

Hi Rhonda, I have Pres HMO and the only doctor they approved was Dr. Frezza in Lubbock. It is a long drive but he is a very good doctor. Kelly Powers has put together a support group and we will have our first meeting this Wed. evening. I would love to see you there. We can talk alot about it there. If you look at the post board.
