Hello everyone my name is Sara I'm 23 years old and have struggled with weight issues all my life, I have been on diet after diet and again it all back within a few weeks of losing it, I have now come to the thought of surgery and would like to hear from some people who have had the different types of weight loss surgery to see what they can tell me

Hello Sara, I had my surgery a year ago last month. To date I have lost 160 lbs and I feel great. I had the gastric bypass surgery (RNY to be exact). The only part I am not happy with is all the loose skin. With time, I would like to get post-bariatric plastic surgery. I wish you luck in whichever decision you make. *Olga*
hi sara...my names leti...i haven't had the surgery yet but i just got my date today. sept 17...but i would be happy to help you in anyway i can by giving you info as i get it. :) good luck. i know exactly how you feel, this was my last resort too. but i'm sure its going to be awsome. but i'll keep ya posted. :)

I am like Leti, still waiting for surgery. I am hoping to have surgery in December or January. I am in the process of gathering all the needed info for approval. I am having to travel to Tucson for surgery because of insurance coverage. I have been told though that my insurance covers to have excess skin removed from the abdomen. I am hoping this is true as i will be in need of that service, but i hope i can have it closer to home rather than four hours away.
